Make A Child Smile Event

Tuesday, September 1 @ 5:20 p.m. ET

October Research, LLC and NS3 sponsor Adeptive Software are proud to announce this year’s Make A Child Smile networking community outreach event.

Lt. Gen. James B. Laster

Join us as we speak to Toys for Tots President and CEO retired USMC Lt. Gen. James B. Laster, about the foundation’s efforts to deliver toys to children in the upcoming holiday season. The national organization, run through the United States Marine Corps., collects toys to distribute to children each holiday season. However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Toys for Tots made an early delivery to children for the first time.

“We decided to take our current inventory that we were saving for this Christmas and distribute them to less fortunate children to lessen the anxiety, give them hope and bring a smile to their face during this crisis,” Laster said. “As we look forward to our Christmas season, we know that more families than ever will need our support, possibly in areas that don’t have a campaign coordinator.”

In a time of social distancing restrictions, many are wondering how they can contribute safely. Join us Tuesday to hear how you can help children have a wonderful holiday season.

About Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots, a 73-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to disadvantaged children during each Christmas holiday season.  The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by the Marines offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.  It is such experiences that help children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community.  Last year the Marine Toys for Tots Program fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of 7 million less fortunate children in over 800 communities nationwide.  Since 1947 over 265 million children have been assisted. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not for profit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense to provide fundraising and other necessary support for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  For more information, visit
